Catfish with seasoned fries and fried green tomatoes from Bosses in Memphis. The tomatoes are pickled so they’ve got a sweetness to them that makes them really unique.

This is “The Crowbar” from The Highlander in Hardy, AR. Deep-fried catfish with purple slaw and tartar sauce. A Facebook submission — thanks Dixie Ball Gordon!
This is an Epic Burger on a whole wheat bun with fried egg, grilled onions, bacon and cheese. It lived up to the “epic” moniker — as did the hand-cut fries and vanilla shake (not pictured).
Service at the counter was friendly and we got through the line quickly.
The Chicago chain features only fresh, natural ingredients and all the burgers (plus the turkey burger, portabella and chicken breast sandwiches) are made to order. Of course they take a little longer than at a fast-food place, but they are worth the wait. And the burgers are large for the cost and quality.
There are six locations: the one we dined at was next to a Bentley dealership. Whoa.

This was the Daily Dog at Bardog Tavern a couple weeks ago. It had red onions, mustard, chili, tomatoes, ham and salami. It was quite possibly the best hot dog I’ve ever eaten.
Lemon pepper and hot wings (with Fanta and fries) from Rick Ross’s new Wing Stop in Memphis.

Pork plate with baked beans, fries and slaw — and a fried pie — from Three Little Pigs, Memphis, TN. As you can see, my cats were quite intrigued by this meal for some reason. For the life of me, I couldn’t get them to leave it alone long enough for me to take the picture.
You’ve seen these entrees before, but even good movies get remade sometimes.
